EPICOH Mid-Career Award

The EPICOH Management Committee solicits nominations for the EPICOH Mid-Career Award for exceptional contribution to the practice of occupational epidemiology. This contribution might be a body of work, or a singular achievement in occupational epidemiologic research, applications of epidemiology to promote occupational health, or methodologic advances. The award for 2021 will be presented at the 2021 EPICOH Annual Conference in October 25-28, 2021. The recipient will be invited to present a lecture at the conference. Registration fees will be waived.

Eligibility:
Eligible recipients are scientists with more than 5 years, but fewer than 20 years since their terminal degree, ideally holding an independent academic, research or professional position.

Nominations:
Not to be awarded in 2023.



EPICOH Early Career Award ‘Pier Alberto Bertazzi’

The EPICOH Management Committee solicits nominations for the EPICOH Early Career Award named in 2022 in memory of Prof Pier Alberto Bertazzi to recognize an early career researcher in occupational epidemiology. Prof  Pier Alberto Bertazzi has been an exceptional international leader in the field of Occupational Epidemiology, and an inspirational figure as scientist, and mentor. Eligibility:

Eligible recipients are scientists with less than 5 years since their terminal degree, and are the first author on an abstract that has been submitted for the 2023 EPICOH conference.

Nominations:

Any member of EPICOH may make nominations. Self-nominations are encouraged. A single nomination document in PDF should be prepared containing the following:

  1. The abstract submitted to the EPICOH conference by the nominee.
  2. A curriculum vitae or biographical sketch of the nominee (up to three pages)
  3. Two nomination letters, written by the nominees advisor and/or research collaborators that specifically comment on how the nominee has demonstrated their commitment to occupational epidemiology and/or exposure assessment.

Nominations should be sent by e-mail to the EPICOH Secretary Sara De Matteis at sara.dematteis@unimi.it with "EPICOH Early Career Award Nomination ‘Pier Alberto Bertazzi’" appearing in the subject line. The deadline for submitting nominations for the 2022 EPICOH Award is December 15.
